Big Star

Your blogmeister is a Tom Hanks fan, and this-here photo illustrates one reason why... most folks know him as an outstanding actor, director, producer, etc, and as a multi-cause activist. But many forget, or just plain do not know, that 'Hanx' began his career as a funny man, doing stand-up and B-comedy flicks.

He's won a good number of awards over the years, including two Oscars, four Golden Globes, and five Emmys... many of them for his dramatic work. But as this photo of 'Hanx' putting his fifth Emmy to good use proves, the man has not forgotten how to make people laugh...

Keystone Cops

Alright, ya got me... these aren't really the Keystone Cops, but perhaps some aspiring wannabes? Anyhoo, although the pages of this cyber-rag are and will be filled with bad-ass motor vehicles, beautiful landscapes, perhaps some things with wings, and certainly more than a few lovely ladies, now and again you'll find something intended to make you laugh...

...or at least say, 'What it the sam-hill...?'

"Mountain Water Makes the Difference"

The 1930s to 1950s... 'twas the golden age of just about anything you can think of, advertising included. Your blogmeister can't speak to it being the golden age of beer, though... to him, it all tastes like monkey vomit. But the beer advertising of the day was pretty groovy, even the simple stuff like this wrap job on a 1930s (?) International pickup...
